OES Construction & Energy is an engineering and construction consultancy based in Edinburgh. We have been active in the UK market since 2016 and bring extensive experience in both the construction and energy sectors.
We provide design and engineering services, as a consultant or as a contractor, for houses, flats, offices, hotels and hospitals, and we offer outsourced design support to architecture practices.
Alongside our construction, design and engineering services, we are also active in the energy sector.

What We Do
OES provides design and engineering services as a consultant or contractor. Our work covers the design and construction of houses, flats, offices, hotels and cafés. Our clients also include architecture practices, to which we provide outsourced design support. We aim to build long-term relationships, and we are committed to sustainable development and to a responsible attitude towards our suppliers and clients.
Alongside our construction and consultancy services, we prepare construction contracts for our clients. Our contract documentation is clear, reliable and legally sound. If you have a construction project or are planning a refurbishment, contact us for documentation and contracting support.
Whether you need suppliers for your own project or you appoint us to build your house, hotel, flats or offices, we source quality suppliers and contractors for the job. We issue invitations to tender and help you choose the best available contractor for your needs.
Before any project starts, a planning application must be submitted to the local authority. This also applies when you extend an existing property. We prepare and submit planning applications on behalf of our clients so the project can proceed without delay.
In Scotland, most building, renovation and demolition work requires a building warrant: an official permit that must be in place before work starts. Carrying out work without a warrant is an offence. We prepare the application and obtain the building warrant from the relevant authority on your behalf.
Getting the balance of cost and benefit right is essential. Before we start work on a project, we carry out the necessary research to make sure the plan and the method of delivery are sound and the project can be completed efficiently. We confirm that the proposed scheme is practical before it is implemented.
We support our clients after the contract is signed with site supervision, daily inspections, design review, material selection and approval, and valuations and variations.
